Landscape Construction & Restoration Foreman
Starting Pay Range $35-40 per hour DOE
Position Salary Range: $35-45 per hour

Cascade Ecology is seeking an experienced professional from the construction and/or habitat restoration fields who is seeking a high-responsibility & high-reward career in the field of habitat restoration. Cascade Ecology is a small but mighty company that has become a leading firm in Washington for habitat restoration contracting and outdoor construction. The Landscape Construction & Restoration Foreman is a dynamic and rewarding position that requires the development of skills in multiple trades and fields, particularly carpentry, landscaping, hardscaping, horticulture, and local ecology. The job requires physical labor, intelligence, and responsibility. Hard work and professionalism are both necessary and rewarded. Attention to quality and detail is critical.
A competitive candidate will have 5+ years experience working in two or more of the trades or fields listed above, and a genuine interest in learning the rest. Competitive candidates will work well with teams and have demonstrated experience supervising others. Individual responsibility and consistency in timing, communication, and quality of work is critical to this position. The foreman will typically work with a crew of 1-3 employees.
Foreman are primarily responsible for:
> Assembling and transporting tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.
> Safely and professionally operating company tools, trucks, trailers, or equipment.
> Overseeing jobsite work and activities, providing instruction to all crew members
> Communicating closely with the project manager and or site supervisor to achieve project success.
> Contributing high quality, professional work to jobs
> Communicating professionally with clients at job sites
> Maintaining a positive attitude and professional work environment

Job Details & Benefits
- Full Time 45 paid hours per week (all breaks paid)
Full time schedule is typically M-F 8am – 5:00pm, occasionally requires extended hours
- Starting Wage $35-40 per hour, position growth up to $45 per hour after demonstrated success.
- Starting Benefits: 2 weeks annual paid sick leave (redeemable for cash) and 1 week paid vacation (redeemable for cash). Paid breaks. 5 paid holidays. 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of employment.

- Wage increases after 6 months based on performance reviews.

- Work primarily consists of
- Landscape Construction, including:
Construction of decks, patios, fences, structures, retaining walls, drainage, gardens, trails, and more.
- Habitat Restoration, including:
Large scale blackberry and noxious weed control, large scale native planting projects, native plant garden construction, forestry stewardship, willow live stake collection, native plant nursery maintenance…
- Required Skills:
- Carpentry, hardscaping, landscaping, power tool use, heavy machinery use
- Operating trucks, and trailers
- Habitat restoration, plant identification, noxious weed control, experience with gardening/landscaping work.
- Comfortable in rough terrain and bushwhacking, comfortable with physical work, outside in (almost) all conditions, year round. Must have your own transportation and be reliable in timing.
- Foremen/leads will receive initial training from and report to the Site Supervisor and/or Project Manager
- Work sites are throughout King County, and most are within 30 minutes of Issaquah.
